Save the Children (SC) carried out an emergency response to assist families affected in 10 communities along the river, all of Miskito ethnicity. These communities were: Auhya Pura, Tuburus, Bethel, AukaMango, Dos Amigos, Galilea, Buena Vista, Limbaica, Klarindan and Ladricola.
