As per Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) of Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) indicated rainfall prediction Maps for next 3 days (19, 20 & 21 August 2013), there is probability of continuation of moderate to heavy rainfall in the North East region. Heavy to very heavy rainfall likely to occur on 19 August in the Southern region of Bangladesh. It also indicated possibility of rainfall in the upper catchments of North and North East of Bangladesh. The Water Level in the Rivers of North East Region is in Rising Trend, this may lead to further rising of water level in the North East region and may likely deteriorate Flooding situation.
