The group informed UNHCR that there are approximately 100 teenagers are living in this separate park. The local police informed UNHCR Team that there are also some 20 families living in a mosque in Kilis. Local authorities informed UNHCR that around 700 people have been transferred from the Kilis Musalla Park to the Mardin-Midyat camp, and about 140 voluntarily returned to Syria through the assistance from local police. The local police assume that there might be more people who either returned to Syria spontaneously or moved elsewhere, while some might have also found accommodation with their relatives and friends.
• Camp officials of Islahiye informed UNHCR Field Team that the number of Syrians living in the mosque next to the camp is increasing everyday and already some 300 people are living in the mosque. UNHCR Field Team will visit the Sub-Governor to inform him of the Kilis Park example , which may also be a good practice to handle the group.
• In Islahiye Camp, officials informed UNHCR Field Team that they are continuing to renew the old tents and some 482 tents will soon be replaced with UNHCR donated tents . Camp officials also confirmed to UNHCR Field Team that 1,800 kitchen cabinets donated by UNHCR have arrived to the camp and will distributed to the Syrian families.
